To get there you can hire a buggy or go by boat. The buggy costs R$ 100 per person and they accept cards, and if you taxi caraiva are going in a group of 4 people it’s possible to negotiate the tour for R$350. You can also add an extra stop at Barra Velha Village on the way back.
